Reliance Industries has been making sustained efforts to ensure the success of the offering. The early salary payment has drawn attention to the company's preparations ahead of what is being described as the country's largest IPO. Over the past 10 years, Jio has achieved a significant position in the telecommunications industry, and the offering could provide Reliance Industries and its employees with an opportunity to become shareholders in the digital platform.
Employees Encouraged to Open Demat Accounts
Reliance is reportedly doing more than sharing IPO-related details with its employees. According to reports, the company is also asking staff whether they or any members of their families have trading accounts that can be used to purchase shares. Employees are also being encouraged to open demat accounts to participate in the offering.
According to a Bloomberg report, Reliance Industries has the second-largest workforce among Indian companies, after Tata Consultancy Services Limited.
The IPO is valued at Rs 30,213 crore, with the company planning to issue 27 crore fresh shares. The price band has been set at Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 per share. The lot size is 12 shares, meaning an investor will need to invest at least Rs 13,428 to apply for one lot at the upper end of the price band.
